Project FizzBait – Turning Litter into Lures

It all started with a day on the beach. Plans to exploring the white sands and turquoise waters of the coastline and maybe even enjoy a little shore fishing with my daughters. However amidst the waves and sand, we were greeted by discarded can after can. It was such a small thing but it spoiled an otherwise perfect moment and stuck with me long after we packed up. That spark of frustration became an idea: what if we could turn litter into something meaningful?

Project FizzBait was born from that question. Our mission is simple but powerful:

• Collect discarded cans from our beaches and coastline every week!

• Upcycle them into handcrafted fishing lures

• Use those lures as symbols of change and thank-you gifts for supporters

• Fund and inspire community clean-ups and coastal conservation efforts as part of the fishing community.

Every can collected means cleaner shores, less waste entering our oceans, and support for further marine charities. Every lure created tells the story of transformation, from rubbish to responsibility.
