Join acclaimed expedition and adventure artist Colin Parker fresh from his travels in either a relaxed cafe / workspace setting in the heart of the vibrant city centre of Southampton, or the studio at the Earth Museum itself on the Isle of Wight, for an experience filled with far eastern inspiration & philosophy, and hands-on creativeness.
Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to explore the unique aesthetic of Japan. Come and discover the art of traditional ink painting and combining it with the concept of Kintsugi.
The Southampton based workshops will take place in a private working area at Bisque Coffee, in Southampton city centre. (117 High St, Southampton SO14 2AA), whilst the Isle of Wight based workshops will be held in the studio at the Earth Museum (1 Wheatsheaf Lane, Yarmouth, PO41 0PF). These workshops will last approximately 2 hours.

Yes. The great thing about being in a cafe/meeting space setting in Southampton is that there are plenty of options available for all personal tastes and dietrary requirements for you to purchase. While on the Isle of Wight there are plenty of neighbouring places to enjoy what you wish as well.
I dont have any painting supplies. Do I need to bring anything with me?
We provide everything. All material and equipment costs are included in your ticket price. Just bring yourself and your spirit of artistic adventure.
